  • Airplay on Minster FM during the breakfast show
  • Melrose Yard StudiosTwo full days of professional recording time at Melrose Yard Studios
  • A performace on stage in front of hundreds of people at Minster FM's Listener Choice Awards on Monday 6th November!

Our Finalists...

1. Michelle Jade

"I am a self taught guitarist and singer, in this cover i am accompanying myself. I have been playing for roughly four years and singing for roughly six. I have done performances to small crowds at most of a hundred people and took part in some competitions before."

2. Just Go For It

"Hi we're Just Go Gor It. Basically we write songs and play the ukulele. We started because of a house music and drama competition at the start of year 11 so we're quite new. We love music and we just go for it! (Hence the name)"

3. The Oracle – WINNERS!

"The Oracle are an up beat Indie three piece from North Yorkshire. They take their inspiration from The Beatles, Oasis, Stone Roses through to more recent artists such as Jake Bugg. Singer/songwriter Gules takes the lead on writing the lyrics and plays guitar. Music and song writing is also inspired from George who plays guitar and these are both backed up by the talented Nick on drums. The guys love to spend their weekends practising and sharing their talent with their friends and family."

4. Molly Teasdale

"I'm a solo singer based in York. I play piano, guitar and ukulele, and I also like to write. Currently I'm studying at access to music college and I'm in my first year, so I'm beginning to promote myself a lot more, taking part in gigs and festivals. Material that I perform mostly consists of pop songs converted into a more acoustic, eerie style, which I think defines who I am as an artist."

5. Frankie Turton

"14 year old Singer/songwriter & musician, who plays guitar, ukulele, piano/keyboard and drums. A solo artist and a member of School of Rock. Gigs locally and very talented!"
