Sand Hutton Jobs Set-Back

8:57am 30th May 2013

Plans for eight-hundred new science jobs at Sand Hutton have been dealt a blow.

It's hoped more private firms will move on to the FERA site, doubling the total number of jobs to sixteen-hundred.

But North Yorkshire Council refused to put forward a plan to improve the A64 there, saying there hadn't been enough planning for the scheme.

Julian Rudd from Ryedale Council is still confident the scheme can go ahead.
