Three Men Arrested by Police Investigating Axe Incident in York

North Yorkshire Police were alerted at around 10.05am on Thursday 23 May 2013 after reports of a disturbance on Farndale Avenue in Osbaldwick, York.

Armed officers were called to the scene as there were reports that an axe was involved in the incident.

Three men, aged 36, 53, and 62 were arrested in connection with the incident and remain in police custody for questioning.

A man suffered a laceration to his arm in the incident and is currently undergoing hospital treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Officers believe this was a dispute between people who are known to each other and there is no threat to the local community.
