York Races Proposal view from Melrose Stand

8:06am 17th May 2013

The 33-1 shot Libertarian has caused a huge shock by winning the Dante Stakes at York, and will now head to the Investec Derby at Epsom on June 1st.

In a bunch finish the Elaine  BUrke trained colt, having only his third start, got up in the final strides to beat Irish raider Trading Leather.

It's the first Yorkshire trained winner of Britains premier Derby trial in decades, and trainers husband Karl Burke's confirmed its next stop Epsom.
