Police Search for Missing Selby Pensioner

Breaking News

5:05pm 15th May 2013

Selby police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a missing man from the town.

Jack Packham, 77, has not been seen since around 1.20pm today, Wednesday 15 May 2013, at Temple Hirst.

Mr Packham is white, around 5ft 9in tall with a slim build and thinning white hair. He has a scar above his left ear. When he was last seen Jack was wearing glasses, a light blue coat, blue jogging bottoms and black fabric shoes. He was also carrying a brown satchel.

Police are concerned for his welfare, as Mr Packham has health issues, which may leave him vulnerable.

Inspector Lindsey Stamp, of Selby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you see Jack Packham, I urge you to contact the police immediately so that we can confirm he is safe and well.”

Anyone who can help locate Mr Packham is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass the information to the Force Control Room.
