The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, will be a guest on The One Show today.

The live programme will be broadcast at 7pm on BBC One, with the Archbishop being interviewed on the sofa by hosts Chris Evans and Alex Jones.

The Archbishop will be speaking about his book “John Sentamu’s Faith Stories”, a collection of 20 inspirational stories of ordinary people making a difference in their local communities.

Dr Sentamu said:

“I am really looking forward to appearing on The One Show with Chris Evans and Alex Jones. I am sure it will be a lot of fun – and there are bound to be plenty of surprises in store! I hope people will tune in to watch. What a great way to start the Bank Holiday weekend!

“It’s great to be able to get the message about Faith Stories out as widely as possible. God is working through ordinary people up and down this country, bringing hope and transformation in tough situations. It’s a real privilege to be associated with such a fantastic project and be able to share it with the millions of viewers who watch The One Show!”

The One Show, which is on BBC One every weekday evening, has average viewing figures of between 4 and 5 million.
