Police Investigate Stillington Power Tool Theft

Hambleton police are appealing for information following a high value theft of power tools near Stillington.
It happened between Friday 12 April and Monday 15 April 2013, when burglars broke into a securely locked building at a farm on the north side of the village.
Police say the thieves stole Stihl branded power tools including chainsaws, a leaf blower and a hedge trimmer with a total value of around £7,000.
PC Andrew Johnson, of Thirsk Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw a vehicle acting in a suspicious manner in the area at the time of the theft, I ask that you come forward and contact the police straight away.
“I also need to speak to you if you have been offered any tools, matching the description of those which were stolen, in unusual circumstances and ask you to get in touch.”
