Have you lost a bird scarer or some barbed wire?

Thirsk police are appealing for the owners of some suspected stolen property to come forward.

A number of items including a bird scarer, golf clubs, barbed wire and horse rugs have been recovered by police officers in recent days who believe they have been stolen.

PC Clare Mayes of Thirsk Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We have recovered a selection of items which were put up for sale and we suspect they have been stolen. Anyone who believes they are the victim of theft or burglary and may be the rightful owner of any of the items is urged to contact the police."

The items include

  • 4 lights
  • camping gear
  • golf clubs
  • 2 jerry cans
  • sink
  • horse rugs
  • 2 rolls of barbed wire
  • water trough
  • 3 rolls of pig nets
  • green netting
  • 3 rolls of wire
  • car wheel and tyre
