police

3:55pm 5th March 2013

Police are appealing for witnesses after the theft of building materials from a site in South Milford.

On Friday 22 February 2013, workers took delivery of 30 insulation sheets which were still on the site, in Southlands Close, when they left at 4.30pm.

When they returned to work at 7am the following morning the sheets had been stolen.

The materials are valued at around £1,500.

Officers are appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the theft to get in touch.

Anyone who works in the building trade and has been offered the materials for sale is also urged to come forward.

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Tony Robertson or Tadcaster police.

If you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111.
