People in Thirsk and Easingwold Urged to Claim Free Insulation

3:42pm 27th February 2013

Time is running out for Hambleton residents to claim free loft and cavity wall insulations for their homes.

The ‘Wrapping up Yorkshire’ scheme, funded by national energy providers, is open to all private homeowners and tenants in Hambleton, including landlords – with no criteria on age group, income or benefit.

But with funding coming to an end, applications for the scheme are on a first come, first served basis - subject to a free no obligation home survey.

According to the Energy Saving Trust, a house can lose up to 60 per cent of its heating through its walls and roof – so fully insulating both can save householders up to £310 per year on energy bills.

To claim the free insulation, call Yorkshire Energy Partnership on 01904 545 020 quoting ‘Wrapping up Yorkshire’ or apply online at www.yorkshireenergypartnership.org.uk/advice.
