York Wheel Gets September Extension
6:09pm 21st February 2013
The York Wheel has been given an extension to stay in the city until the end of September.
It was a close vote by councillors on York's planning committee which had to be decided by the chair's casting vote.
It means the tourist attraction will get one more summer but the company which owns the wheel tells Minster FM it will leave the city in the autumn.
The site of the Wheel at the Royal York Hotel will be fully restored by the end of November.
