Police Search Across Three Counties for Missing 91 Year Old Woman

Police are appealing for assistance in locating a woman who has been reported missing from Seaton Ross, near Pocklington.

91 year old Anna Stewart was reported missing from her address on Mill Lane, Seaton Ross at 7.45am today. She was last seen walking to get a bus, in the direction of Bielby at around 6.30 this morning.

Anna Stewart is described as a white woman, around 5ft 3 ins tall and of a slim build. She has grey short curly hair, and was last seen wearing a purple waterproof jacket, a royal blue jumper, a red and blue waistcoat, blue trousers and black ankle boots with Velcro fastening, carrying a brown shopping bag.

Police are concerned for the welfare of Anna Stewart due to her health, age and vulnerability.

A number of searches are currently being carried out across the East Riding, North Yorkshire and Cleveland in an attempt to find her.

Police believe that Anna may have taken some form of public transport in an attempt to get to Skelton in Teeside.

Inspector David Braysmith, overseeing the search for Anna Stewart is urging anyone who may have seen her to call police.

Insp David Braysmith, from Humberside Police said: “Mrs Stewart has only been a resident in the area since December 2012, previously living in Skelton, Teeside for over 60-years. I would like anyone working on the transport network, buses, trains or taxi firms who think they may have seen her to ring the police.

“Even though Mrs Stewart is in relatively good health, she has been diagnosed with the early stages of dementia and her family are anxious to know her whereabouts and know she is safe and well."
