Budget Plans For City of York Council

6:48am 4th February 2013

We'll find out later about spending plans for the City of York over the next year.

The Labour leadership of the council has already attacked it's political opponents.

It claims last year's Conservative and Lib Dem proposals would lead ot further cuts of almost 2 and 3 million pounds.

We asked Conservative leader Ian Gilles what he feels the priorities should be.

Carol Runicman leads the Lib Dems on the city council - Labour have criticised her for wanting to take the council tax freeze grant.

But she says the needs of people in York who are struggling must come first.

We'll keep you updated on the budget plans as they're announced here on Minster FM.
