Man Arrested After Newgate Market Van Theft Released Without Charge

Police are continuing to appeal for information regarding a van being stolen in Newgate Market earlier this month.

It comes as officers have released an 18 year old man they arrested over the incident without charge.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "The 18-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the theft of a van in Newgate Market, York on Wednesday 2 January 2013, has been released without charge.

“However, detectives are still investigating the incident and appealing for information to identify the thief.
