Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary and the high value theft of bicycles in Pickering.
It occurred at 2am on Thursday 10 January 2013, from a shop on Southgate, when thieves stole 10 mountain bikes with a total value of £9,000.
The stolen bikes are a washed denim coloured and a black Trek Skye S, a Trek Cobra in black and white, a black and grey Trek 6000, a Trek 3500 Disc, a black Trek Superfly AL Elite, a black and white Trex X-Caliber, a black and grey Trek Mamba, a denim wash coloured Trek Lush and a white Cammondale Trail.
It is believed that the thieves used a white van to transport the stolen bikes and may have been travelling with a small, dark coloured car.
DC Steve Lloyd, of Scarborough CID, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a white van and small dark car acting suspiciously in the area at around the time of the burglary and urge them to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.
“I also need to speak to anyone who may be offered a mountain bike, matching the description of those stolen, for sale in unusual circumstances and ask them to get in touch.”
Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Steve Lloyd. Alternatively information can be emailed to email@example.com.
Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12130005091.
