Car Park Charges Go Up across Hambleton
5:27am 13th December 2012
There's concern a rise in car park charges across Hambleton could drive shoppers out of the towns.
It's after Councillors gave the go ahead to a 7.6 million pound budget for 2013/2014.
It means charges for car parks in Northallerton, Thirsk and Bedale will go up.
Marcus Grover, who's the owner of Grovers on the High Street, says it won't help boost the town's economy and Bettina Bell from Lewis and Cooper in Northallerton says it's a bad move.
