This event is one of many organised during 2012 which is our special 25th year, says Julie Russell from York Against Cancer! She adds that, "Our aim is to raise money to buy a property on the East coast where we can send cancer patients, carers and their families for a short break, when they most need it!
"Patients affected by cancer not only suffer physical symptoms but along with the family suffer emotionally and very often financially too. We want to be able to offer a respite break to families affected to give them time together – there’s nothing more important at these times than family!"
