(Updated 3:16pm 26th September 2012)

Flooding continues to cause problems in North Yorkshire.

Twenty-five people have been evacuated from flats in Boroughbridge

The High Volume Pumping Appliance is heading to help clear water from the A1M - which has been shut between Junction 49 at Dishforth and Junction 60 at Bradbury for over 24 hours now

Earlier Tadcaster's narrowly avoided a disaster

Structural engineers managed to secure the main bridge there - amid fears it could collapse as the River Wharfe broke it's banks.

In York there are already floods and some businesses are underwater. Work is underway to pump flood water from affected areas.
