York police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to after an incident on Lord Mayor's Walk in the city.

It occurred just before 11am on Friday 30th March 2012, when a man working in Giant Cycles was threatened after he told two men to leave the shop.

One of the men attempted to head-butt the shop worker and the second threatened to injure him.

The men police are seeking are white and aged 18 to 20. At the time of the incident they were both wearing grey tracksuits.

PC Dave Scaife, of York Safer Neighbourhood Team, said:

"If you recognise either of the men caught on CCTV please contact the police of Crimestoppers as soon as possible.

"I am also appealing to the men caught on camera to come forward if there has been a misunderstanding so that I eliminate them from the investigation."

Anyone who can help to identify the men is asked to contact York police on 101, press option 2 and ask for Dave Scaife.

Or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting reference number 12120050327.
