Motorcyclist killed in Market Weighton

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses to a three vehicle road traffic collision which happened on the A164 outside Middlethorpe Farm in Market Weighton at around 1855hrs on Monday 30th July.
A blue coloured Honda motorcycle was travelling along the A614 from Howden in the direction of Middleton on the Wolds, when the rider is believed to have lost control of the motorcycle. This resulted in the rider colliding with a silver coloured Toyota Rav, which was travelling in the opposite direction. The motorcycle then collided with a blue coloured Ford Focus, also travelling in the opposite direction.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 34 year old man from Howden sadly died at the scene. The occupants travelling in the other vehicles were not injured.
The road was closed at Londesborough roundabout and re-opened at approximately 2350hrs.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call Humberside Police tel 101 quoting log 570 of Monday 30th July 2012.
