Malton police are appealing for witnesses after a piece of agricultural machinery was stolen in Kirkbymoorside.

At around 6.45pm on Sunday 25th March 2012, a red Vicon hay turner was taken from a barn on Gillamoor Road.

The owner disturbed two men as they loaded the machine onto a trailer and drove off in a green Toyota pick-up onto the A170 and into Nunnington.

Officers are appealing to anyone with any information about the theft to come forward.

pC Katie Shaw, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw the machine being taken or has any information about the theft to contact the police or Crimestoppers.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered a similar item for sale in recent weeks.”

Anyone who can help officers with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Katie Shaw or Malton police.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 12120048033.
