Further information of York Band Likely Lads' music video shoot
Fans of stripped down, raw garage indie are invited to an exclusive event that will see one of the most hotly tipped bands to emerge from Yorkshire in years film their new music video. Those uninterested in dancing need not apply.
On Friday March 16th 2012, the Likely Lads will take over York's acclaimed live venue, The Duchess, between 10am and 4pm, to record a rendition of their forthcoming single. In nothing more than a year the band have built a solid reputation for seriously impressive on stage performances, so needless to say this date, which is free for all to attend, will be no exception.
Critical references abound to early Arctic Monkeys and a formative-era Oasis, which should give newcomers a rough idea of what to expect. Ever unpredictable though, guitarist Ash Harding, singer and bassist Ross Mcleod, rhythm guitarist Ben Porter, and drummer Jordan Maher's often self-deprecating songs reveal a myriad of influences, from The Charlatans to Jamie T.
After bagging well in excess of 100,000 You Tube hits, Likely Lads, though still in their relative infancy, are unquestionably ones to watch for 2012.
