York based Network Rail fined

York based Network rail has been fined one million pounds for breaching health and safety laws at a level crossing where two teenage girls died.
Charlotte Thompson and Olivia Bazlinton were hit by a train in 2005 as they crossed the tracks at a station in Essex.
The judge said there was a "clear history of inadequate risk assessment and failure to act on warnings".
