Cashpoint dug out by thieves

A cashpoint has been stolen by thieves who used a digger to smash the front of a shop in North Yorkshire.

It was taken from the Co-Op in Masham just before 3am this morning (Monday 23rd January 2012).

Police are asking farmers to keep an eye out for what they call "unusual" vehicles.

It's after the group got away with the ATM on a flat back trailer.

Police investigating the theft of a cash machine from the Co-op store on Park Street in Masham, in the early hours of Monday 23rd January 2012 have arrested two men in connection with the incident.

The men, aged 24 and 27, remain in police custody as enquiries continue.
