Body found in Thirsk garden named

Police are appealing for information following the sudden death of a Thirsk man.

The body of  Peter Darren Walker, 44, of Hambleton Avenue, Thirsk was found in the garden of another property on Hambleton Avenue, at just after 6am on Tuesday 10 January 2012.

Initial enquiries lead officers to believe that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. Officers are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen any suspicious or unusual incidents in the area, between 11pm on Monday 9 January 2012 and the time the body was found.

The cause of death has not yet been established and further tests are being carried out.

Detective Chief Inspector Keith Ruff said:

“In order to assist the coroner in establishing the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr Walker I need to establish as much information as possible."
