Stolen quad bike

3:37pm 30th November 2011

Selby police are appealing for the public’s help to locate a stolen quad bike.

The red and black 250cc Suzuki Runner was stolen from a property on West Bank, Carlton, sometime between 11.30am and 12.45pm on Friday 11th November 2011.

The quad, which is valued at £1200, was parked behind closed gates at the house.

Police are appealing to anyone who knows where the bike is, to come forward with information.

PC Sally Smith, of Selby police, said: “Obviously the owners of the quad bike are very upset that it has been stolen and I am hoping that the public can help us find it and so we can return it to them.

“The quad has a few distinguishing features which may help to identify it, including a partially missing rear mudguard and a broken seat.

“If anyone knows where the quad bike is or has been offered it for sale, please contact the police or Crimestoppers.”

Anyone who can help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police, on 0845 60 60 24 7 – select option 2 – and ask for PC Sally Smith, or Selby police.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number
