A York man, who claimed almost £26,000 worth of benefits over three years that he wasn't entitled too, has been sentenced for his crime.
66 year old Christopher Grant, of Ratcliffe Court, had claimed to be unable to work and was claiming Pension Credits, Housing and Council tax benefits.
He was working though as a self employed courier for two separate companies.
Today he was sentenced to 24 weeks imprisonment, suspended for one year, and 60 hours of community service.
