York school Clifton Pre-preparatory, the Pre-prep of St Peter’s, has recently won the prestigious title of ‘Pre-preparatory School of the Year’ beating other schools across the country in a public vote.
Head Philip Hardy's told Minster FM:
"We are delighted with this national award which is a testament to the inspirational teaching and dedicated nature of the staff who provide a wonderful, friendly, child-centered atmosphere at our school.
‘We believe we provide excellence in everything we do, but it is always heartening to know that the parents and members of the public that voted for us feel the same way."
Head, Philip Hardy, and former Headmistress Paula Arkley received the award at an awards ceremony at Olympia, London, as part of the Good Schools Show.
"All of my hard working staff must of course take the credit for us gaining this national award,’
‘It comes on the back of an outstanding inspection in all categories last year which fully endorsed our aim of providing a fantastic start to a child’s education - inspiring a love of learning and curiosity about the world."
The school has an open week on Monday 10th to Friday 14th October.
