Two years on - gone but not forgotten.

A local Jockey has been talking to Minster FM about the loss of two apprentice jockeys.

Jan Wilson and Jamie Kyne died on the 5th of September 2009 after a fire riped through their flat at Buckrose court in Norton.

Paul Mulrennan is a jockey from Boroughbridge.

He worked with Jan and Jamie in North Yorkshire and has spoken of his loss.

37 year old  Peter Brown was sentenced to a minimum of 7 and a half years behind bars for manslaughter for the blaze which killed the two rising stars.

"Peter Brown has robbed us of two wonderful young people who had so much to live for."

They're the words from the families of Jamie Kyne and Jan Wilson at Peter Brown's sentancing.

At the time Jamie was just 18 and Jan was 19 with promising careers ahead of them.
