A man's been mugged in York

A man's been mugged in York.

It happened on Tadcaster Road last night, when 3 men forced a 20 year old on to the ground.

They searched his pockets and stole personal items.

The only description of the men is that all three were black and one of the men was wearing blue jeans and a white hoodie-style top and a black baseball cap.

Three men aged 16, 20 and 40 from the York were arrested in connection with the incident.

The 40 year old man has been charged with obstructing the police.

The 16 and 20 year olds have been bailed to allow for further police enquiries.

Detective Constable Jennifer Cartwright, of York CID, said:

"I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or may have seen the group of men as they headed out of the city. Please contact the police as a matter of urgency."
