The life and music of a York composer takes centre stage tonight.

John Barry passed away at the age of 77 in January.

His legacy lives on though, and people will pay tribute tonight at the Royal Albert Hall.

John's best known for his James Bond themes as he famously created 11 of them.

Tonight Dame Shirley Bassey will pay tribute by perfoming some of John's hits.

Sir Michael Caine, Jame Bond star Timothy Dalton, and Sir Michael Parkinson will also be there amoungst others.

In October a further concert is planned, taking place at the York Barbican.
