Fox-hunting debate re-ingnites in York
5:43am 14th October 2009
Animal rights activists have gathered on Coney Street in York calling for the police to make the Hunting Act a priority.
Staff at the Lush cosmetics store there are highlighting their campaign against hunting with dogs. Staff will wear fox ears and tails - and ask customers to petition the police - to make the Hunting Act a priority.
They say fox hunting with hounds still happens, despite the Labour Government passing a ban years ago.
But it's angered some pro-hunting groups, who says they're trying to fighten people into believing hunting is a blood sport.
