Soldiers under a bigger burden
5:24am 13th October 2009
Soldiers face a bigger burden than ever before when deciding whether the fight for our country.
That's according to John Haywood from York Against the War. He believes if a soldier can be prosecuted under the Human Rights Act and held responsible for their actions, they should be able to opt out of certain missions.
He's been speaking out as York soldier Joe Glenton faces a court martial for refusing to go back to Afghanistan.
Joe's wife Claire will speak at a meeting in York tonight about why her husband didn't want to go back.
