Poisoned pen letters terrorise a North Yorkshire family
3:23pm 12th October 2009
"It's a lovely day for a bonfire - yours".
That's just one of the threats that's been made to a family from North Yorkshire who've been receiving poisoned pen letters for two year.
North Yorkshire Police say each of the twelve notes have a Leeds and London postmark and they've been sent off for forensic investigation.
The family, who don't want to be named, displayed samples of the letters at Stainforth village hall yesterday to try to identify the writer.
The police say "if anyone does recognise the handwriting we would like to remind people that they should pass the information to us and not to take any inappropriate actions themselves".
People can also pass information to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
