Tourism slump in York

7:56am 2nd March 2011

York had a tourism slump in December - a time when the city usually draws in thousands.

The latest stats show there was a decrease in hotel occupancy by 15 per cent.

In contrast September saw York's highest rate of occupancy in local hotel at 88 per cent.
