Swine flu on the rise in North Yorkshire
5:46am 8th October 2009
Cases of suspected swine flu in North Yorkshire have started to rise again, after dropping during the school holidays.
Figures from NHS North Yorkshire and York show 29 people in every one-hundred-thousand were treated for the virus in the fortnight from September the 17th.
That's an increase of 45% on the first two weeks of the month.
The trust says it still might recall recently retired staff to provide support for frontline services, if there's a major upsurge in cases during Winter.
