Prince Charles in York meeting injured soliders

Prince Charles has paid his respects to the 72 lives lost in Afghanistan from North Yorkshire's 4th Mechanized Brigade based at Catterick Garrison.

A memorial and thanksgiving service has took place at York Minster.

Now the Prince of wales is meeting injured soliders from the same brigade at Imphal Barracks.

Many of the soliders are emotional.

Minster FM spoke to Lance Sargeant Gary Daverson who lost both his legs and an arm in Helmand from a IED.

During the service of memorial and thanksgiving, Brigadier Richard Felton OBE, Commander 4th Mechanized Brigade and task force Helmand - read out the names of the 72 who lost their lives.
