After a decade...it's finally re-opening...

York council

10 years of waiting is over now Clements Hall is to reopen.

An old church has been converted in to a community centre in York.

In 2000 it closed its doors as a place of worship and the derelict site became a place for vandals and anti-social behaviour.

Now it's hoped this will be a pillar for the local area, as it was saved by a charitable trust set up by residents and the city of York council.
