Witness appeal - Robbery in York

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man in his fifties was robbed in York on Friday morning.

At around 11:30am the victim was walking along Custace Walk in York when he was approached by a youth aged around 16-17.  The youth threatened him and demanded cash. The victim handed over a small amount of cash and the suspect ran off towards Nunnery Lane.

The victim was uninjured but very shaken up by the incident.

The youth is described as white with blue eyes and looked dishevelled. He was wearing a dark-coloured hoodie and light grey jogging trousers and trainers. 

Police are appealing for anyone in the area at the time who either witnessed the incident or saw a youth matching his description to come forward.
