All North Yorkshire Police staff have just been offered voluntary redundancy.
The force say they need to make savings ahead of tomorrow's budget cuts.
This should help them impose as few compulsory redundancies as possible.
Here's Assistant Cheif Constable, Sue Cross:
Well today the force is hoping to tot-up some cash by selling some of its unwanted properties.
12 sites, valued at over two-million-pounds, will go up for auction at Leeds United Football Club.
The money can't be used to pay salaries and save jobs but can be reinvested in the community to build new police stations.
