Following the below appeal, a man has been identified and charged in connection with the incident.

Police in York have issued a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a bus window was smashed.

At around 5pm on 20 December 2017 a York First Bus with passengers on board was travelling over Ouse Bridge when a passing cyclist punched a window and smashed it.

No-one on board was injured.

Officers are appealing to any members of the public who can help identify the man, who may have vital information,  shown in the CCTV image to contact them.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for PC Emily Clark.
