6:16am 7th December 2017

A man from York is releasing a new book today, all about how to deal with grief.

Ian Donaghy is already a published author, having published the acclaimed Dear Dementia in 2014.

Now, Ian is launching 'The Missing Peace - creating a life after death'.

The book is a series of short stories and monologues about how different people from different age groups deal with the loss of their loved ones.

Ian told Minster FM:

It's taken me thirty months to write this book. I realised that there were a lot of people who were losing people, and they were struggling with it. Their friends were terrified to say the wrong thing, so they ended up saying nothing. People were being isolated. So this book is to show you that it's not just you.

The book launch will take place tonight at 7:30pm at The Black Swan Inn.
