Campaigner injured at fracking site in Kirby Misperton

A woman has been taken to hospital after being moved by police at Kirby Misperton.

According to North Yorkshire Police, she complained of shoulder and neck pain.

She was treated by officers at the scene, before being taken to Scarborough Hospital by ambulance.

Elsewhere, there have been five further arrests at the site today.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested at about 11.30am on suspicion of obstructing a highway.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested at about 12pm on suspicion of obstructing a highway.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at about 12pm on suspicion of obstructing a highway.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested at about 12pm on suspicion of obstructing a police constable.

An 18-year-old woman was arrested at about 12pm on suspicion of obstructing a police constable.
