Police Warning Over Drifting Smoke

Debris from a large fire at a waste depot on the outskirts of Leeds is spreading towards North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Police have issued a warning to residents in Tadcaster to keep their doors and windows shut to protects them from the drifting cloud.
Emergency crews were called to a blaze at Wastecare waste depot in Garforth just after midnight on the 1st of July.
24,000 litres of alcohol in tanks are thought to be inside the site.
Residents and visitors at the nearby Holiday Inn were evacuated and had to spend the night in alternative accomodation.
Around 125 firefighters have been tackling the fire and roads into Garforth have been closed.
Routes such as the A642 Wakefield Road and A63 Selby Road are likely to be shut for at least 24 hours.
Police say the smoke plume is not toxic and water supply is not contaminated but say people living nearby should avild going outside for the time being.
