Thousands of unpaid carers in York are missing out on benefits they're entitled to.

Ten per cent of the population in York look after a relative, friend or neighbour without claiming support.
That amounts to thousands of us not realising we can register as an unpaid carer and get the benefits we're entitled to.
Today marks the start of National Carers Week, raising awareness of the issue.
