Sleeping rough in York to help street kids
5:46am 21st May 2010
A pajama party with a difference in York tonight, as dozens of people sleep rough on the streets.
The event organised by Aviva is to highlight the plight of the hundred thousand children who run away from home or care every year.
The York sleep out is one of ten similar events taking place across the UK today.
Staff have told Minster FM "We're not pretending to be homeless, but we're hoping to raise awareness of this issue which is a very real problem on our streets."
