(Updated 6:09am 10th March 2010)

Parents across North Yorkshire are being reassured after the latest figures about pupil behavior have come out.

Nationally the Government say over a thousand students a day are suspended or expelled for either physical assaults, verbal abuse or threatening behavior.

Here in North Yorkshire last year 3822 pupils were suspended and 56 excluded.

Nigel Ogley is the man who keeps an eye on children's behavior across the county and says compared to others we are doing well.
