CCTV images of jewellery theft suspects released

Police have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a theft from a jewellers in York.

At around 4.10pm on 20 October 2014, a man entered a jewellers in the city centre and asked to look at an expensive ring. When the shop assistant showed him the item, he grabbed it and ran out of the shop.

Another man was waiting for him outside and they ran off towards Ouse Bridge and down to the river at King’s Staith.

Officers are appealing to anyone who recognises the men to contact them with information.
