Thirty Five Pigs Killed After Lorry Overturns on A59 in York

Thirty five pigs in a lorry of two hundred have been killed after it overturned in a collision on the A59 in York.
It's after a crash between two lorries and a car at 10.20 this morning.
Other pigs are okay though and two vets and the RSPCA have been on the scene to help.
The A59 has now re-opened after being closed for most of the day.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
