York family's plea for their missing son

York family's plea for their missing son

5:28pm 1st March 2010
(Updated 5:16pm 4th March 2010)

"It's completely out of character and extremely unusual for Jonathan to be missing like this."

The words of the Havron family who's 18 year old son hasn't been seen since Friday.

Jonathan was last seen by friends at 9.30pm in Yates Wine Bar.

It's thought he was also in the Artful Dodger Pub on Micklegate in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Since there his whereabouts have been unaccounted for and police have searched the River Ouse and Foss.

A new and more recent picture of Jonathan has now been released by his family (see image).

The full statement from Jonathan Havron's mother Joanne Wigmore, and 24 year old sister Nikita Ashby is as follows:

“This is completely out of character for Jonathan, we know he would contact us if he was able to and so we are extremely worried.

If anyone knows anything at all, no matter how small you may think the piece of information is, please contact the police.

Jonathan usually prefers nights in with his friends, as he enjoys playing on his Xbox, reading and listening to music.

He is a happy student at Bishop Burton College studying Uniformed Services with a view to joining the TA. Jonathan would like to join the police force in the future. He has a strong interest in forensic science and his goal is to join CID.

Jonathan has a one hundred percent attendance record at college and so this is extremely unusual for him to be missing like this”.
